Flood advice, make no mistake Cumbria has had some flooding recently. HOWEVER - it is not as bad as the media have led you to believe. The North of the County has suffered, many farms and businesses have been effected but even in Cockermouth which was flooded businesses are open and life is continuing. We are getting 'phone calls and emails from all over the world (literally) from people who are concerned for us, or for their holiday. Rest assured that we are fine, your booking with us is fine, all the facilities of Ambleside are there for you as are the facilities of the Lake District. Well they would say that wouldn't they......... Honestly, no we wouldn't, we have built our reputation on good service and being fair and honest with our guests.
Rest assured that The Lakes are not a disaster area, come and see for yourself.
